Leo S. Guthman was a civic and business leader who cared greatly about the diverse arts and cultural landscape of Chicago. Since his death in 2003, Lynne Rosenthal and Patricia Silver, Mr. Guthman's daughters, have served as Trustees of the Leo S. Guthman Fund. They have continued his legacy of philanthropic giving by supporting programs that use the arts as a tool for community-building and educational outreach as well as a means for healing.
Additionally, LSGF supports a diverse array of organizations and programs. With the unified goal of improving people’s lives, LSGF supports programming from the arts to urban gardens, from early childhood education to social services -- programs which touch people from all walks of life and all age groups. We are a foundation which is flexible and responsive to the needs of the people in Chicago.
